Peter is Managing Director of Tyndall Investment Management New Zealand. He is an actuary with 19 years experience of investment consulting, management and capital market research, portfolio strategy development, performance measurement and client servicing. Peter joined Tyndall New Zealand in November 2000 after nearly eight years at Mercer Investment Consulting in Christchurch and Auckland. Peter previously held the role of Head of Strategy at Tyndall and has also held the roles of Head of Quantitative Analysis, Head of Client Services and Interim Managing Director prior to his current role. Peter is the past Chairman of the Investment Subcommittee of the New Zealand Society of Actuaries and is New Zealand’s past representative on the CFA Institute’s Global Investment Performance Standards Council. He holds a first class Honours degree in Mathematics from the University of Canterbury.

Helen is Head of Distribution at Tyndall. She is responsible for key relationships, plus building distribution channels across the institutional and mezzanine sectors. Helen joined the company in March 1998 to specifically market the organisation’s capabilities to New Zealand trustees of superannuation schemes, charities and trusts. Prior to this she spent 12 years in London as a Vice President with The First National Bank of Chicago (now JP Morgan) marketing securities and foreign exchange products to central banks and fund managers worldwide. Helen is a Trustee of the Tyndall Superannuation Fund and the current Chair of Women in Super Inc.

Binu is Head of Business Strategy & Development and is responsible for Tyndall’s overall strategy including new business, product, marketing as well as the management of key institutional clients. Prior to this Binu led FundSource Research an asset consulting and fund research house in a chief executive role. Before this he was Head of Research, primarily responsible for fund and manager recommendations as well as asset allocation strategies. Previously, Binu has held senior positions in funds management, corporate finance as well as in the technology sectors. He has a Masters degree in Business (MBA), a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and has completed the Implementing Strategy course at the Wharton business school of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a governance role and is also a member of the Institute of Directors.

Anthony has the overall responsibility for the client management function of all clients as well as for the key operating activities of the company including risk management, both client mandate and statutory compliance at an operational level, management of external relationships for purchased services from both internal and external service providers, financial reporting for the company. Anthony has been with the group since June 1988 and is a member of ICANZ (CA college) He is Chairman of the Trustees for the Tyndall Superannuation Fund.

Pam is Client Services Manager at Tyndall New Zealand and reports to the Head of Operations. Prior to joining Tyndall, Pam was Institutional Services Manager and Vice President at BT Funds Management for 12 years. Prior to BT, Pam had various roles for funds management and custody firms working with a client base of institutional and high net worth individual. Pam has a Diploma in Finance from Auckland University.

Reena is Client Services Manager at Tyndall New Zealand and reports to the Head of Operations. Reena is tasked with monitoring compliance, as well as maintaining both internal and external relationships in order to be able to attend to the operational aspect of client service. Prior to joining Tyndall in 1999 as an investment assistant, Reena was with Ernst & Young, South Africa where she managed the operational and accounting functions for the firm’s high net worth clients. Reena holds a Cert in Business Studies (Finance) from Massey University and is the current treasurer of Women in Super Inc.

Rickey is Domestic Equities Manager at Tyndall New Zealand. He joined Tyndall in April 1996, initially as an equity analyst and the manager of the company’s passive investment products, before being promoted to the more senior role of domestic equity dealer and subsequent Domestic Equities Manager position. Prior to joining the group, Rickey was employed by ANZ McCaughan NZ Securities as the agriculture and quantitative analyst in addition to being a member of the company’s strategy team. Rickey has an honours degree in Mathematics and Physics, a Diploma of Financial Mathematics and part papers of an Actuarial qualification. He has been involved in the finance industry for 19 years, 14 of which have been with Tyndall. Rickey is a member of the Institute of Finance Professionals (INFINZ) and is a member of the NZX Asset Management Advisory Board.

James is Domestic Equities Manager at Tyndall New Zealand. James had a number of years experience in sharebroking prior to being appointed an Australasian Equity Analyst at Royal & SunAlliance Asset Management in Wellington. He joined the Auckland based Tyndall team in 1999 as an Equity Analyst, before being promoted to the role of Domestic Equities Manager in May 2001. Academically, James achieved Honours in his Masters of Commerce degree as well as completing the Diploma NZSE course and a Bachelor of Commerce. He is a member of the Institute of Finance Professionals (INFINZ) and sits on the NZX Asset Management Advisory Board.

Matthew is employed as a Investment Analyst in the domestic equities team. He has responsibility for providing quantitative analysis, risk management and support for the team. He joined tyndall in 2007 as Quantitative Analyst, before being promoted to Investment Analyst in March 2011. Prior to joining the team Matthew worked in the financial services research team at Nielsen. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from the University of Auckland. Matthew is in the process of achieving a CFA.

Michael holds the role of an Investment Analyst within the Domestic Equities team, a role he has undertaken since joining Tyndall New Zealand in June 2006. Reporting to the Domestic Equities Managers Michael has responsibility for company research, focusing on Australasian small companies, and is also a backup for quantitative analyses. Michael has more than 10 years experience in the finance industry with his most recent roles being with Schroders in the UK and ASB Group Investments in New Zealand. He is a CFA charter holder and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Auckland University.

Fergus is Head of the Bond and Currency team at Tyndall New Zealand. He is responsible for the investment strategy, performance and compliance of Bond and Currency mandates. Fergus has been actively involved in the New Zealand financial markets since 1981. Prior to joining Tyndall as the New Zealand Fixed Interest Manager, he was employed in a similar role with Royal & SunAlliance. Fergus has considerable experience in managing bond portfolios that combine Government stock and derivatives with corporate debt securities. He was instrumental in developing and managing New Zealand’s first corporate bond unit trust. Fergus holds a BA Economics, Victoria University and Certificate of Treasury Professionals.

Ian is the Fixed Income Manager. Ian joined Tyndall in 1998 as the Cash Portfolio Manager and was promoted to Fixed Income Manager in January 2012. Ian is responsible for the implementation of investment strategy and day to day management of the fixed income and option portfolios. Ian also contributes to team decision making by analysing economic information, identifying global and domestic trends. Ian holds a Bachelor of Commerce - Finance and Post-Graduate Diploma in Commerce - Finance from University of Otago.
Tim is the Fixed Income Analyst and joined Tyndall in January 2012. Tim assists with the management of the fixed income portfolios, with emphasis on the implementation of the investment strategy for the cash and short term portfolios as well as currency hedging of offshore assets. Tim holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Graduate Diploma of Commerce from Auckland University and is currently studying for a Masters of Applied Finance.
